Information you provide
- Account details — such as your name, email address, or sign-in identifiers, if you create an account.
- Health & diet logs — meals you record, symptoms you track (e.g. bloating, gas, pain ratings), the program phase you're in, and notes you add.
- Messages to your coach — the questions you ask the in-app AI coach.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — app interactions, device type, operating system, and crash/diagnostic information, used to keep the app stable and improve it.
We do not request access to your contacts, photos, or precise location unless you explicitly grant a feature permission.
4.How we use your information
- To provide, personalize, and improve the CalmBelly experience.
- To power your AI coach with guidance grounded in your own logs.
- To show your progress and surface relevant low-FODMAP meals.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health logs for third-party advertising.
5.Your AI coach
The CalmBelly coach generates responses based on the information in your logs. To do this, relevant context may be processed by trusted third-party AI service providers under agreements that restrict use of your data to providing the service. The coach is designed to stay grounded in your logs and is intended for educational support only — it does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
6.When we share information
We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers — vendors who help us run the app (e.g. hosting, analytics, AI processing) under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and CalmBelly.
- Business transfers — if CalmBelly is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you.
7.Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and limit access to it.

- Access & export — request a copy of your data.
- Correction — update inaccurate information.
- Deletion — delete your logs or your entire account.

9.Children
CalmBelly is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
